Hello world! Yet another day in Anchorage, Alasaka. Today was our true first day of rotation. We met with Renee this AM around 8 am to discuss our project. We will be reviewing oral thrush and hopefully revising the ANMC protocol on how to treat the disease! This will not only help our patients, but will be a huge boost to our CVs! Hopefully we can get a poster/journal publication out of it and present at Midyear in Anaheim! Renee is so sweet. She is keeping us so centered and focused.

Today I was stationed in the outpatient pharmacy. I got DRILLED today on dosing and just a lot of things in general. I didn’t know many of the answers, but I just had to keep reminding myself that this is why I am here…to learn! I saw Judy Thompson again (she came and spoke to us about the Indian Health Service when we were P1s) and she invited us on a camping trip with her and her family two weekends from now! Yay! She even said after the camping trip that we could borrow her car for a FULL WEEK because she would be in Spokane, WA for the whole week. We will utilize this time by hopefully going to Denali for a couple of days! This weekend we have a lot planned (hike to FlatTop and downtown market)and hopefully I will get some more pictures up. Sorry I am slacking on the pictures but I haven’t taken any in a few days because I’ve been at the hospital! But I plan on taking some pictures of some of the art that is in the clinics tomorrow.  

Stephanie and I went for another amazing run today! She is doing so well :) So well in fact that I have placed my bet on her in a 5K race that her and Stephen will be doing in September. Landon and I are in a training/running competition with our respective parties.(You’re going down boys!) I am so proud of her! She is such an amazing person and give it her all. She will make quite the little runner..I am sure of it!

Sorry this post is so short, but we have TONS of things to look up for tomorrow and it’s already 9:00 p.m. Love each and everyone of you very much :)
